As expected, Gionee has launched the Gionee S8 smartphone in the MWC 2016 event. The Gionee S8 images were also leaked a few days ago and the device is already benchmarked on GFXBench. Gionee was already teasing the device on their social media accounts. The Gionee S8 will be available in Rose Gold, Grey and Gold colors options and will be priced at 449 Euros ($494). It will be available starting the end of March, 2016.
The Gionee S8comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 3D touch, 2.5D arc glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 1920× 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 1.95 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor with Mali T860MP2 GPU and features 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB Internal storage expandable up to 128GB with micro SD card. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Amigo OS 3.2 OS out of the box.
It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, RWB technology, 6P lenses, PDAF and Laser AF. It also has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a Fingerprint sensor and DTS audio features. It also has a 3000mAh battery with fast charging feature. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It also comes with full metal unibody design.
