Sony announces Xperia X , Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA at MWC

After LG, Samsung, HTC and ZTE, Sony has also announced three new smartphones in its Xperia series. The devices are called as Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA. Out of these the Xperia X Performance comes with top-end features with flagship capabilities having the latest Snapdragon 820 processor along with 3 GB RAM. On the other hand, the Xperia XA runs on MediaTek Helio P10 with 2GB RAM and Marshmallow OS. The notable feature of the Xperia XA is its curved glass edge-to-edge display. The Xperia X runs the Snapdragon 650 processor.

Sony hasn’t announced any pricing details of all these three devices. The Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Performance come in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colors whereas the Xperia XA will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold color options. The Xperia X and Xperia X Performance will be available starting from the Summer 2016 and the Xperia XA will be available starting the Summer 2016.

The Sony Xperia X performance comes with a 5-inch Triluminos display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the latest quad-core Snapdragon 820 64-bit 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 200GB via microSD card. It supports Dual SIM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It features a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF and 1080p video recording. It also has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. It also features a Fingerprint sensor and comes with a 2700mAh Battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS and NFC. It measures 70.4 x 143.7 x 8.7mm and weights 164 grams.

It has 32GB internal storage expandable up to 200GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM.

It features a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF and 1080p video recording with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. It has a 2630mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and also features a Fingerprint sensor. connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS and NFC and measures 69.4 x 142.7 x 7.9mm with weight 153 grams.

Sony Xperia XA comes with a 5-inch curved glass edge-to-edge display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a Octa-core (4 x 2.0 GHz + 4 x 1.0 GHz) MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor with 700MHz Mali T860MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage with up to 200GB expandable storage via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports Dual SIM.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1/3” IMX258 Exmos RS sensor and 1080p video recording with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX219 Exmor R sensor and 88-degree wide-angle lens. It has a 2300 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n , Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and measures 143.6 x 66.8 x 7.9mm and weights 137.4g.
