Xiaomi MI 5 is currently the hottest topic online to discuss and MI 5 has already gained so much popularity from a number of leaks. The MI 5 was recently leaked in a set of new renders and a video. The device was also found listed on Chinese e-commerce website Gearbest with pricing and specs details. Now, a weibo user has again leaked a new image of the device which looks like real. The device comes with white color in the newly leaked image.
A Xiaomi’s executive has already confirmed that the MI 5 will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC and will be launched in February after the Chinese New Year. The MI 5 is rumored to come in two variants with one having 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage and the other will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. It will have with a 5.2-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The device will be powered by a powered by the Quad Core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 processor. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel front facing camera and the rear camera is also capable of 4K video recording as per the Gearbest listing. It is backed up by the 3,600mAh non-removable battery. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner available in the physical home button of the phone.
Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, WIFI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, OTG, NFC and it also supports Dual SIM connectivity. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MIUI 7 OS out of the box. It is listed in Black, Gold and White color options on the e-retailer website. The MWC is getting close and close and we can expect an announcement from the Chinese OEM in the upcoming days as well for the MI 5.
