LG launched their current flagship LG G5 last year at MWC 2016 with a modular design and also tried to impress its customers with the lower end LG G5 SE but the company failed to do so. The company is expected to make certain improvements to the next flagship to attract more and more customers and the rumors in the past claimed that the LG G6 flagship won’t feature the modular design like the LG G5. Now the company has started sending the media invites for its MWC 2017 event that is scheduled for February 26th at Barcelona.
The company is expected to announce the new LG G6 flagship in this official event. The official invite comes with the tagline “See More, Play More” that hints towards a display with a wider viewing area and a bigger battery with decent backup. The invite further comes with the event date February 26th 2017. The new LG G6 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ display and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will have a 2880 x 1440 pixel resolution with 564 pixels-per-inch. The LG G6 is rumored to feature a metal and glass body.
To recall, the LG G5 was announced with a modular design and was having a a 5.3-inch Quad-HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of UFS internal storage capacity, expandable storage up to 2TB with the help of MicroSD card, a Dual camera setup on the rear side with 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel secondary rear camera, an 8-megapixel front facing camera, a removable 2,800 mAh battery and 4G LTE connectivity.
We now have to wait for the official event taking place on February in Barcelona 12 p.m. local time and we may expect that the company will also live stream the event. Stay tuned for more news and updates about the device.
