Asus Zenfone AR launched with 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 821 and a 3300mAh battery

Not only the Zenfone 3 Zoom, Asus also announced the first most advanced smartphone of this year known as Zenfone AR that comes with Tango capabilities and is the second phone to have the Tango features. The Zenfone AR is the world’s first phone to support Tango AR and Google’s Daydream VR technology. The device was leaked a couple of days back by Qualcomm. The Zenfone AR comes with other top-end specification and the world’s first phone to feature 8GB of RAM. This device will be available from Q2 2017 however, no pricing details of the device were shared by the company.

The Zenfone AR comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display with 2560 × 1440 pixels resolution, NTSC over 100% and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by the 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU along with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and also comes with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage variants, If that storage not enough for you than you can also use MicroSD card expandable storage as well.

The Zenfone AR runs on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS with Zen UI 3.0 and supports hybrid dual-SIM. It features a 23-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P Largan lens, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS, Laser AF and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 85-degree wide-viewing angle. This device comes backed up by a 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support and it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac5 GHz 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity options.

The Zenfone AR also features other audio enhancement features like a built-in Mono 5 magnet speaker, ASUS SonicMaster 3.0, DTS Headphone: X for virtual 7.1 surround sound Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard and NXP Smart AMP technology. A fingerprint scanner is available on the physical home button on front. The device measures 158.67 x 77.7 x 4.6 ~ 8.95 mm and weights 170 grams.

To recall, the Tango is an AR platform that uses camera, gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to estimate six degree of motion tracking giving the users the ability to track 3D motion of a device and creating a map of the near environment. The Daydream feature is a VR feature that is available only in the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. So with this phone you can enjoy games and many other apps with its advanced features.
