Last month, ASUS announced its Zennovation event scheduled for January 4th and also confirmed that two new smartphones will be launched with one or both having Iris scanner feature and a dual camera on rear side or at front panel. Now, the chip maker company Qualcomm has leaked the upcoming ASUS smartphone to be launched as ASUS Zenfone AR that will feature Tango features and will be Daydream-ready as well.

Twitter leakster @evleaks, quickly spotted the blog post from the chip maker for the device and posted an image from the device on his Twitter handler. The blog post by Qualcomm was quickly removed by the chip maker but was spotted by a number of websites already. The official blog post by Qualcomm’s Brent Sammons is still accessible here, however, no images were posted by the company in the blog post.

According to the Qualcomm’s blog post, the Asus ZenFone AR will be the world’s first Tango-enabled smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It will be the world’s first phone to be Tango-enabled and Google Daydream-ready. The Zenfone AR will be the 2nd phone with Tango capabilities that uses a set of sensors and computer vision software that supports smartphone augmented reality experiences. The Lenovo PHAB2 Pro was the first Tango enabled phone launched in June.

Apart from the Zenfone AR, ASUS is also expected to launch the Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone at th CES 2016 event tomorrow. The Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone was spotted at TENAA with Model number Asus_Z01HDA. It comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED full HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and it is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. It comes with multiple variants having 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM and 16GB, 32GB, 64GB inbuilt storage options with the support of up to 32GB expandable storage via MicroSD card slot. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side.

This device features a dual-rear camera setup with 12.2-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors and dual-tone LED flash along with a 13-megapixel front facing camera. It will be powered by a large 4850mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and other standard options. It measures 154.3 × 77 × 7.99 mm and weights 170 grams. Color options includes Navy Black, New Crafts Silver and Luxury Gold.
