In the CES 2017 event today, Huawei confirms that the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in the United States starting tomorrow January 6. The flagship Huawei device will be available for $599 and will be available in Space Gray and Moonlight Silver color variants in the country. The device will be available for sale via online retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg and B&H. Announcing the smartphone for US, Huawei also confirms that the Alexa – Amazon’s cloud-based voice service will also be available with the Mate 9 smartphone. Alexa can be asked to set an alarm, build to-do lists, weather reports etc things.

Huawei Mate 9 was launched in November last year with features such as a 5.9-inch full-HD display with 2.5D glass and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has an aluminim unibody design and is powered by a octa-core Huawei Kirin 960 processor with Mali G71 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity that is further expandable with microSD card. It was announced with Black, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown and Ceramic White color options.

It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based Emotion UI 5.0 out of the box and supports hybrid Dual-SIM. It features a 20-megapixel Monochrome + 12-megapixel RGB Dual rear cameras with Leica lenses, f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, OIS and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC. The Huawei Mate 9 comes with a fingerprint scanner available on the back. It measures 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9mm and weights 190 grams. No news available of its global roll-out and pricing yet.

The company also launched two new variants including the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche design limited edition and the HUAWEI Mate 9 Pro that comes with premium build quality and other advanced features. There is no new available weathe these two variants will be available in the US or not.
