Asus has finally launched their new smartphones at CES 2017 event. As expected the company launched their two devices Asus Zenfone AR that comes with Tango capabilities and the Zenfone 3 Zoom that comes with a dual rear camera. Let’s first talk about the Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone which comes with Glacier Silver, Sapphire Black and Rose Gold color options and will be available starting February 2017. No pricing details for the device were announced by the company. As we saw in the TENAA listing, the Zenfone 3 Zoom comes with a dual camera setup on rear side and a powerful front facing camera as well.

The Zenfone 3 Zoom comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It gets powered by a mid-range 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU along with 3GB and 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB (eMMC) internal storage with an option of MicroSD card expandable storage capacity up to 2TB. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box with Zen UI 3.0.

The Zenfone 3 Zoom supports Hybrid dual-SIMs. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, Laser AF, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor with 1.4μm pixel size, three-axis EIS, four-axis OIS) along with a 12-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and Sony IMX214 sensor. A large 5000mAh battery backs up this device and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom comes with advanced audio enhancement features including Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard and a dual internal mic. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone audio jack and also supports FM Radio. The device’s large battery can give up to 42 days of standby and up to 6.4 hours of continuous UltraHD video recording. A fingerprint scanner also available on the rear side. It is 7.9mm thick and weights 170 grams.
