Xiaomi has now confirmed via an official teaser that it will launch its new Redmi series smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 4 in its November 4th event and we are just coupe of days away from the event taking place in China. The company is also expected to launch the Redmi 4A smartphone in this event as well that comes with comparatively downgraded specs from the Redmi 4. The Redmi 4A is also spotted listed on the China mobile website with all specs and features.
The new teaser released by the company reveals that the Redmi 4 device will be launched at 7pm CST on November 4. No details available about its global roll out yet. The Redmi 4 smartphone has already got the approval in China on TENAA where it was listed with the model number 201606 and was also spotted in leaked real life images on the weibo website. According to the China mobile listing, the Redmi 4 will be priced at 1299 yuan (around $192) in the country.
The TENAA listing confirms that the Redmi 4 will have a 5-inch TFT full-HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of inbuilt storage capacity with up to 128GB expandable MicroSD card storage. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS based MiUi 8.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device is expected to support Dual SIMs and will be powered by a large 4000mAh battery. Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, MicroUSB 2.o HS, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and FM Radio support as well. It measures 141.3 × 69.6 × 8.9 mm and weights 160 grams.
Color options includes Gold and Silver. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. The device is spotted listed with 1299 yuan (around $192) price tag in China.
