The Lenovo and Google’s project Tango smartphone Lenovo Phab 2 Pro smartphone is going to launch next month as per an official Google representative. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro was launched in June this year in the Lenovo Tech World event and is made for better VR experience. It uses AR and VR to sense and map surroundings and it will use AR and VR as pervasive as the GPS. It will also be able to understand the size of your room and numbers available in that room.

At the launch event in June, the company confirmed that the Phab 2 Pro will be launched in September and that never happened last month. Now, head of VR at Google, Mr. Clay Bavor has confirmed that this world’s first Tango enabled smartphone will be launched in November in number of regions across the world. The expected price of this phone will be around $499 as per rumors but we have to wait for the confirmation from the company itself.

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro was launched with features such as three rear cameras that includes a 16-megapixel RGB camera, a depth camera and a motion tracking camera making it easy to enjoy the AR features of this device. The Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro has a full metal body body and comes with a 6.4-inch Quad HD 2.5D Curved Glass display with 2560 × 1440 pixels resolution and is powered by a octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card.

It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM. It features a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, Depth Sensor for Tango and Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4μm pixel size is also available. It is backed up by a 4050mAh battery with fast charging feature and also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.

Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, other features includes DOLBY Atmos sound with 5.1 audio capture and Triple Array Microphones with Active Noise-Cancellation. It measures 88.57 x 179.83 x 6.98-10.7mm and weights 259 grams.
