The launch of the ZTE’s upcoming smartphone ZTE Axon 2 might be very near as the device has just got the TENAA approval in China. The ZTE Axon 2 has got the approval with the name ZTE A2017 on TENAA and we already saw this device listed on the GFXBench database giving us the information about its specs. The TENAA listing comes with the images of the device that confirms that this device will have full metal build and will feature a fingerprint scanner on its back. The device also has two front speakers.

The TENAA listing for the ZTE A2017 comes with a 5.5-inch OLED 2k display with 1440 × 2560 pixel resolution and is powered by the 2GHz quad-core processor that will be the Snapdragon 820 chipset. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity with up to 128GB expandable storage capacity. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It features a 20-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is backed up by a 3140mAh battery and measures 154 × 77 × 9.8 mm with 175 grams weight. Color options includes Golden color. It comes with connectivity options like USB, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, 3G, NFC and USB Type-C port as well. The volume buttons and the power button is placed on the right side.

The device was spotted on GFXBench with specs such as a 5.5-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a 2.1GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 ([email protected] + [email protected] – ARMv8) processor with Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage capacity, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a 20-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front facing camera, connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, WiFi and single SIM connectivity.
