Huawei Announces Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus With Leica certified dual 12-MP cameras

After a number of rumors and leaks, Huawei has finally unveiled its latest dual camera flagship in the Huawei P series lineup called the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus in an official event today. Huawei P9 is priced at £449 and the Huawei P9 Plus is priced at £549. Both the devices will be available for sale starting April 16 and these will be available in 29 countries of Europe and the Middle East first. Huawei P9 comes in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey and Haze Gold, Prestige Gold and Rose Gold color options.

The main highlight of these phones is its dual 12-megapixel rear cameras that comes with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and 1.25-micron pixels that can give you high quality images even in low-light conditions. Both comes with force touch displays that allows users zooming an image and launching an app with applying pressure on the icon. Both the devices comes with a fingerprint sensor available on the back of the phones with 3D fingerprint sensor technology and both supports Dual SIM.

The Huawei P9 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the 2.5GHz Octa-Core Kirin 955 processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with two vbariants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage and the second one with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. It also comes with expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Huawei Emotion UI.

It features a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with Leica SUMMARIT lenses, dual-tone LED flash and 27mm f/2.2 aperture with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC and USB Type-C. It measures 145 x 70.9 x 6.95 mm and weights 144 grams.

The Huawei P9 Plus comes with a comparatively larger 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED Press Touch 2.5D curved glass display and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2.5GHz Octa-Core Kirin 955 processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU and comes with a single variant that has 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage with expandable storage capacity up to 128GB with microSD card. It also runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Huawei Emotion UI.
