Huawei started teasing A new device for January 5th launch

Huawei is holding an event on January 5, that is tomorrow, in Las Vegas where Huawei is expected to announce a number new products including new smartphones. One of the smartphones that is expected to be launched in this event is the Huawei’s “P” series of smartphones called the Huawei P9. The device is rumored to be launched with high-end specifications and will have upgraded features from its predecessor Huawei P8 that was launched last year. Huawei is already teasing a new smartphone via its Facebook page. Today, they have issued a new teaser featuring a side portion of a new Huawei device.

The teaser reads,”Bringing to life Rhythm x Entertainment. Experience what it’s about at ‪#‎CES2016‬.” Further the teaser comes with text “new style for new year” that means a new unique style will be introduced with this new device. Including the Huawei P9, Huawei is also rumored to launch the Honor X3 tablet in this event.It is rumored to comes with Kirin 950 SoC  and a 6.2-inch display with 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will have 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Other rumors includes a 20MP rear camera with an 8MP front facing camera. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.

Huawei P9 is rumored many times in the past and is said to comes with a 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED display with 4GB of RAM and the Kirin 950 SoC. But a new leak posted on weibo suggests that the Huawei P9 will feature 6GB of RAM instead of 4GB. Other rumored specifications of the device includes a 5.2-inch display with Huawei’s Kirin 950 SoC. the device is also expected to have a fingerprint sensor.

In addition, Huawei may also announce its plans to enter the US market as well. Huawei’s latest flagship device Mate 8 has already got the FCC US certification and we can expect an announcement tomorrow in the CES 2016 event. The Huawei Mate 8 was launched in December in China with a 6-inch full HD IPS display having 1920×1080 pixels resolution. Its powered by the huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core (2.3GHz Cortex-A72 quad-core + 1.8GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core) chipset paired with Mali-T880 GPU and an i5 co-processor. It comes with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants and features a a 16-megapixel rear camera with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It has a large 4,000 mAh battery.

So everything will be cleared tomorrow in the Huawei event if we are going to see the launch of either Huawei P9 or the Honor X3 tablet. Stay tuned for more updates.
