Vivo has finally launched the much awaited flagship devices Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 plus in China today. There were lots of rumors about both the devices online and both devices got the TENAA and 3C certification in China few days back. The specifications of the Vivo X6 Plus are same as we reported previously with 5.7-inch display and the Vivo X6 comes with a comparatively smaller 5.2-inch display than the TENAA listed 6-inch display. But we may see some Vivo X6 variant with 6-inch display in Vivo’s official smartphone listings soon.
Both the devices will be available in three color varaints gold, silver, rose gold. The Vivo X6 Plus comes with smaller display than the Vivo X6 but has powerful battery options than the Vivo X6. The Vivo X6 Dual 4G variant is priced at Yuan 2498 ($390) and the single SIM variant is priced at yuan 2598 ($406) and is up for pre-orders on Vivo store. The phone will start shipping on December 7. The Vivo X6 Plus is available in two variants. One with 3000 mAh battery and the other with 4000mAh battery. The 3000 mAh battery and Dual 4G variant is priced at Yuan 2998 ($469) and the 4000 mAh battery variant is priced at yuan 3198 ($500).
Vivo X6D comes with a 5.2 inches FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit eight-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 processor (eight cores of Cortex-A53 at 1.7GHz and dual-core Mali-T760 GPU) with 4GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage and up to 128 GB expandable storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 2.5 (based on Android 5.1). It has a 2400mAh battery available. It features a 13MP rear and 8MP front facing camera with PDAF and FF features. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G, wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB2.0, GPS positioning, OTG etc. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner at rear side. It measures 147.90 × 73.75 × 6.56mm and weights 135.5g.
Vivo X6 Plus comes with a large 5.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, as we reported earlier, with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the same 1.7GHz eight-core processor MediaTek MT6752 processor (eight cores of Cortex-A53 at 1.7GHz and dual-core Mali-T760 GPU) with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. It also comes with up to 128GB expandable storage slot. It runs on Funtouch OS 2.5 (based on Android 5.1). It features the same a 13MP rear and 8MP front facing camera with PDAF and FF features. Vivo X6 plus measures 158.40 × 80.00 × 6.85mm and weights 171g.
Few days back, we also saw some other variants certified by TENAA. These includes Vivo Y51A, Vivo Y37A and the Vivo Y51 and Vivo Y51L. But Vivo hasn’t announced these in the official event today. Vivo may launch those too in future with some other top-end phones as well. The Y37A is the powerful smartphone among these four unannounced phones as it comes with a 5.5-inch display with 2GB of RAM, the other three comes with mid-range specs like a 5-inches display and 1GB-2GB RAM.
