Alcatel One Touch Conquest:
The cheapest one in our list of water resistant smartphones is Alcatel One touch Conquest. This phone has been released in US and is being sold by Boost Mobile just for $129.99 and no contract is required.
The specs of this phone are: it has a 5 inch 720 p display. It has been powered by Quad-core snapdragon 410 processor and runs Android Lollipop 5.1.
It has IP67 certification which means it is a dust proof handset and also can be submerged into water level upto 1 metre for almost 30 minutes.
It has been packed with 2500 mAh battery and features a 5 MP rear and 2 MP front shooter camera.
CAT S40:
The next smartphone in our list comes to be CAT S40.
This handset has been named as the toughest in the portfolio of CAT till date.
It runs Android Lollipop 5.1 and has IP68 certification which means apart from being dust proof, this handset can be submerged into 1.5 metres of water.
Another additional feature worth mentioning about it, is that it can be dropped on concrete from around 1.8 metres height without any damage.
Other features of this new android phone are 4.7 inch display, powered by a quad core snapdragon 210 processor having 1 GB RAM and an expandable internal memory of 16GB.
This phone will be available for buying in August for $439.
Moto G third generation:
Another Smartphone in this category is Motorola’s MOTO G which has been officially launched recently.
This is the first water resistant handset in this series. It has been certified IPx7 which means it can survive under water for around 30 minutes.
At, the same time it is important to mention that this is not a dust proof handset.
This new handset is available in 2 variants: one with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage and it costs around $179.99, unlocked. The other variant is having 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and it has been tagged for $229.99.
Both these variants have expandable memory and runs Android Lollipop 5.1. They have been featured with 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front shooter and has been packed with 2470mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active:
Next in the line comes Galaxy S6 active, this is the most advanced android phone of Samsung till today.
This handset is IP68 certified and is shock resistant. It doesn’t get damaged even after a fall from 1.2 metres height.
Other features of this handset are 5.1 inch Quad HD display.
Has been powered by Octa Core Exynos 7420 processor and has 3GB RAM. This handset has been packed with 3500 mAh battery and is available through AT&T only. It has been priced for $199.99 on contract and without contract it is $694.99.
Sony Xperia Z3+ :
Last but another important water resistant handset of this year is Sony Xperia Z3+. This is also among the thinnest handsets available these days in the market measuring just 6.9 mm around the waist.
This handset has been certified IP68, same as that of Samsung S6 active and CAT S40.
It has 5.2 inch display and has been powered by Octa core Snapdragon 810 processor.
Other features of this handset are : it has 3GB RAM and 32 GB expandable memory and features a 21 MP rear camera. This handset can be brought through Amazon for $600, unlocked.
