Samsung’s upcoming flagship in the Galaxy S series called Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are expected to launch after the MWC 2017 event in March and now @evleaks has confirmed that the next Galaxy flagship will be announced on March 29th in New York city. The famous leakster also shared a real life image from the Galaxy S8 smartphone and also shared the prices details of the device. According to him, the 5.8-inch variant will be priced at €799 while the 6.2-inch variant will cost €899. Evleaks also confirmed that both the phones will be available for sale starting April 21st and the company is aiming to ship around 60 million units of the Galaxy S8 this year.

The leakster shared an image showing both panels of the device. The leaked image posted by Blass shows the device that matched with previous rumors. It doesn’t have the physical home button with fingerprint scanner on the front panel and its moved to the back panel near the rear camera lens. The display comes with curved edges on both sides and also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack that previous rumors claimed will be ditched by Korean giant. According to Blass the Galaxy S8 will feature a pressure sensitive display similar to the Apple iPhone’s 3D Touch technology.

Further, the leakster also shared some of the rumored specifications of the device. He said that the Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch variant and a larger 6.2-inch variant with a curved display with dual edges and will have an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device will feature a Type-C port and will have the loudspeaker grills and antenna bands near the headphone jack and type-c port at bottom.

So according to the Evan Blass, The Galaxy S8 will have two variants with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED displays. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or a Samsung Exynos processor (region based) and will have 4GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage capacity with MicroSD card expandable storage. The device will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera with f/1.7 aperture.

The device will have a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and will also feature the Iris scanner that was available with the Galaxy Note7 smartphone. The device will have a 3000mAh battery for the 5.8-inch variant while the 6.2-inch variant will have a larger 3500mAh battery. Just like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the Galaxy S8 will be water resistant and will feature a full metal body. Other details of the device are currently unknown and we have to wait for the Samsung event to have more information.
