ZTE announces Blade V8 Pro and Project CSX “Hawkeye” smartphones at CES 2017

ZTE, today at CES 2017 event, launched two new devices including the ZTE Blade V8 Pro and its crowdsource Project CSX “Hawkeye” smartphones. The Blade V8 pro is listed at official LG USA website and interested customers can pre-order the device priced at $229.98. The ZTE Hawkeye smartphone can be pre-ordered through Kickstarter priced at $199. ZTE Blade V8 Pro shipping is expected to start January 18 in the country while we don’t have any news about the shipping details of the Hawkeye phone.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 and 401 PPI. It comes with a metal frame and is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage capacity and microSD card expandable storage upto 128 GB storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and comes with a hybrid SIM slot.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a dual rear camera with 13-megapixel dual sensors with dual LED flash, auto mode, continuous shot, face detection, live photo, auto HDR, manual mode (includes interval capture), Panorama, Sports mode, Multi-exposure, Dual Camera Mode (Bokeh / MonoColor / MonoChrome mode / Ultra-HD mode) and PDAF  features. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 3140mAh non-removable battery with Quick-charge 2.0 support.

Connectivity options available are 4G LTE Cat.4 with up to 150Mbps speed, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz & 5GHz, GPS/A-GPS/SUPL, USB 2.0 + Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and other features. It comes with Black Diamond color option and weights 185 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the front home button.

The ZTE’s project CSX phone Hawkeye is also now up for pre-orders at kickstarter website. The Hawkeye name for the device was selected after receiving over 500 name submissions from users in over 170 countries by the Z-community. This phone can be stick to walls and surfaces with a self-adhesive case. This phone come with Eye-Tracking scrolling that can track movement of the eyes and pages can scroll automatically up-down or left-right based on eye movement. The user can also give voice commands to the phone to navigate between pages while the device is stick on a wall.

The ZTE Hawkeye phone comes with a 5.5-inch FHD display and features a dual rear camera setup with enhanced image and zoom capabilities. The device comes with Hi-Fi audio feature and a fingerprint sensor is also available on the rear panel. The device comes with a large battery with quick charging capabilities and comes with expandable memory slot. It will run on Android Nougat operating system and will be upgradable to latest versions of the Android.
