Blackberry launches Blackberry DTEK50 and DTEK60 in India

Blackberry has finally launched its new Android powered smartphones Blackberry DTEK50 and Blackberry DTEK60 in Indian market today that comes with the price tag of Rs. 21,990 (around $330) and Rs. 46,990 (around $704) respectively. The Blackberry DTEK50 was announced in July this year, while the Blackberry DTEK60 was launched last month in some of the European countries. Both comes with Black color option and as for the availability the BlackBerry DTEK50 will be available from November 13th, while the DTEK60 will be available from December in the country.

The Blackberry DTEK50 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD scratch-resistant display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with 550MHz Adreno 405 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity with microSD card expandable storage slot up to 2TB. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and will be available in single SIM option.

It features a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Fast focus lock, HDR, 6-element f2.0 lens, Dual tone dual LED Flash and other features. It also has a 8-megapixel fixed-focus front facing camera with f2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size, 84 degrees wide angle view lens and Image & video stabilisation.

It has a 2610mAh battery with fast charging enabled and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz with 4G Mobile Hotspot  and Wi-Fi Direct, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and EDR, GPS with Assisted, Autonomous and Simultaneous GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, OTDOA, NFC and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 147×72.5×7.4mm and weights 135g.

The Blackberry DTEK60 comes with a 5.5-inch diagonal Quad-HD AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 24-bit color depth, 534 PPI and 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996 with 64 bit Quad-Core 2+2 Kryo 2.15GHz / 1.6GHz) processor with a 624MHz Adreno 530 GPU. it has 4GB of RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage capacity with microSD expandable storage card supporting up to 2TB storage. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It features a 21-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with Dual Tone LED Flash, 4K HD Video Recording at 30 fps, Phase Detect Auto Focus (PDAF), Fast focus lock, HDR, 6-element f2.0 lens, 4x digital zoom, Continuous & touch to focus, face detection, video image stabilization and Multi-frame Low Light Enhancement features. A front facing 8-megapixel camera is also available with Selfie Flash, fixed-focus, f2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size, 84° wide angle/field of view lens, HDR, Live Filters, video image stabilization and Multi-Frame Low Light Enhancement.

It has a 3000 mAh 4.4V non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 enabled delivering up to 24 hours of mixed usage. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz, 4G Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 (LE) and EDR, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, USB Type-C with standard USB Type C to USB Type A cable and USB OTG and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It measures 153.9 mm x 75.4 mm x 6.99 mm and weights 165 grams. The device also comes with an on-screen or red LED indicator and also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
