Some reports online has confirmed the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note7. The device has been discontinued just after 2 months of its launch. “We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation, Taking our customer’s safety as our highest priority, we have decided to halt sales and production of the Galaxy Note 7″ company said in a statement.

At first, around 35 cases of device explosion were reported and Samsung then recalled around 2.5 million Galaxy Note7 units with users reporting the battery issues. The company did everything to prevent the explosions with replacing the affected units with new ones and restricting the battery percentage to 60% of all the non replaced units of Galaxy Note7.

Then, it was again seen that the replacement units are also catching fire when a traveler’s unit cached fire in the Southwest Airlines flight 994 from Louisville to Baltimore. US carriers AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon then halted the sales of the device in US and decided to discontinue the device worldwide.
