Android 6.0 Marshmallow rolling out to Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 in India

Samsung has started rolling the Android Marshmallow 6 update to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 in India. The Marshmallow update comes with new Marshmallow features and new UI for both the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. Company has already released the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge and Note 5 devices in the different regions. The Galaxy S5 in the South Korean market is receiving the Marshmallow update and is expected to get the update in other regions as well followed by other Samsung flagship models too.

The Marshmallow update brings Marshmallow goodies to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 devices and brings new look and enhancements for both these devices. This new update not only comes with Marshmallow OS but with the Android security update for March as well for both devices. The new update bring new features like improved TouchWiz, advanced power saving mode, Quick Connect app, Doze, new app permissions, Now on Tap and many other new useful features as well.

The update on the Galaxy Note 5 is of about 1.20 GB in size whereas, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with 1.30GB size, so you must be connected to the WiFi network or to a faster LTE network to download the update for your Galaxy devices. You device must have at least 50% battery left before you update the device. If you haven’t received the notification for the update you can check the update manually by going to Settings>About device>Download updates.

To recall the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with features like a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved dual edge display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 64 bit, 14 nm Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB of RAM and 2GB internal storage capacity. It was launched with Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture and 4K(UHD) video recording features. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and f/1.9 aperture. It comes with a 3000mAh battery with fast charging feature and it comes with 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2 LE & apt-X and NFC connectivity options as well. It also has a Heart rate sensor and a fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy Note 5 was launched with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved dual edge display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and is powered by the Octa-Core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 64 bit, 14nm Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage options. It was launched with Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture and 4K(UHD) video recording with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It comes with 3000mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, ANT+ and NFC with heart rate sensor and a fingerprint sensor.
