AmanLG has just confirmed on its social media accounts that the company will launch its new flagship device LG G5 on its February 21 event. This is the same day when Samsung is going to launch its Galaxy S series flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. LG Posted on its Facebook page announcing the LG G5 launch event,” Time for some play! LG will launch the LG G5 in its February 21st event in Sant Jordi Club, Barcelona, Spain at 14:00 Feb 21, 2016. The LG G5 will be the successor to the last years LG G4 smartphone. LG also announced this news on its Twitter account by sharing the same image they share on Facebook. LG has also started a timer for the LG G5 launch on its official website here. It will be interesting to see two flagships launching on the same day in Spain. One from LG and others from Samsung.

LG G5 is rumored to be launched with a 5.3-inch display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution. it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will have 3GB of RAM with 32GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It is also rumored to have a metal body and an IR blaster. LG G5 is also expected to have microSD-support and USB Type-C slot. It will feature the Dual camera setup on rear side with 16MP and 8MP cameras with smile, face and multi-gesture detection. There will be a 8-megapixel sensor on its front.
Connectivity options includes 4G, NFC, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 and will have a large 4000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature. The quick charge feature helps battery to be charged to 85% full capacity in just 35 minutes. The LG G5 is expected to be priced around $900 as per rumors.
