ZTE announces ZTE Nubia Prague S with 3GB RAM priced at 2499 Yuan

ZTE’s sub division Nubia has officially announced a new smartphone ZTE Nubia Prague S today in the official event in China. The device is available for pre-order on Nubia official website here. It is priced at 2499 Yuan (around $380) and will be available in Silver and Rose Gold colors options. There were rumors previously that Nubia will launch the Nubia Z11 or the Nubia X8 in the event on 18th January. But the Nubia’s new teaser later confirmed that it will launch the Nubia Prague S smartphone instead.

ZTE Nubia Prague S comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED OGS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D arc Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4×1.5GHz + 4×1.0GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Nubia UI 3.0 on top.

It features a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed up by a 2200mAh battery with fast charging feature and has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS connectivity options. It measures 148.2 x 72.5 x 6.8mm and weights 135 gms.

Nubia Prague S will be available in China for now and the company has not revealed any global rollout plans for this smartphone. The phone also comes with iris scanner with eyeprint ID for secure locking of the device. The device also comes with AKM4375 Hi-Fi audio chip, 7.1-channel Dolby audio and Dolby decoder for enhanced audio experience.

So we don’t have any information currently, if and when will ZTE launch the Nubia Z11 or the Nubia X8 smartphones and what will their pricing details. We have to wait now only for another event from ZTE or may be we will see the launch of the two phones at MWC 2016 event. No one knows.
