We already know about the Axon lineup from ZTE like the Axon Elite, Axon Lux and Axon Pro launched with premium specifications and 5.5-inches display and Axon mini with 5.2-inch display. Now a new phablet ZTE Axon MAX has been added by ZTE in the ZTE Axon Series as they launched this phone on Friday. ZTE announced this in a press release and said that the company has also announced its special “Global VIP Passport” service catering to owners of its AXON phones.

ZTE Axon Max comes with a 6.0-inch FHD AMOLED display with 2.5D arc glass and it comes with a thin and slick body measuring 160 x 80 x 7.5mm and made from aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy. It is powered by a Qualcomm snapdragon 617 MSM8952 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage with the support of a 128GB Micro SD card slot. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with MiFavor 3.5 UI on top.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF 0.1 second focusing features with a 13-megapixel front facing camera having smart face beauty features. It comes with a large 4140mAh battery with support of QC2.0 quick charge feature. It also comes with features like 3.5mm headset port, type C date/charge port and nano + nano/Micro SD. Connectivity options available are 4G+, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS; BT4.0; Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Proximity, Compass, Gyro, Hall element, Voice control, Hi-Fi voice, fingerprint identification, Voice identification and OTG.

At the launch, Adam Zeng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices, commented, “Our flagship series is the core of ZTE’s strategy. The ZTE’s new “Global VIP Passport” service includes a number of high-powered service items aimed at high-powered, globe-trotting AXON users embarking from China. Emergency assistance enjoyed by Global VIP Passport members include:

  1. 24-hour online Chinese-language emergency consultation for 8 popular travel destinations initially.
  2. A secure repair service guaranteeing secure back-up and restoration of files, even if the phone cannot turn on
  3. A business travel service offering customers preferential ZTE rates on flights worldwide
  4. 51 RMB insurance covering damaged screens (50 days) and mobile bank accounts (3 months, insuring up to 50,000 RMB)
  5. A subsidy on the purchase of a new ZTE phone should there be a problem with the original while traveling to any country
  • For customers whose phones experience problems while traveling to the U.S., they are also provided a temporary back-up service
