Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 (SM-J120F) Now FCC Approved, 4.5-Inch Display Confirmed Via Zauba Listing

The Samsung Galaxy J1 was launched in January this year with budgeted range features. Samsung is refreshing the Galaxy A series, as we told you earlier, with new varaints of Galaxy A5 (SM-A5100) and Galaxy A3(SM-A310F) that got FCC approval few days back. Another new phone Galaxy A8 (SCV32) was approved by FCC yesterday. Now the new “Galaxy J” series smartphone Samsung Galaxy J1 is found approved by the US FCC with model number SM-J120F. The Galaxy J1 2016 will have a Dual SIM varaint also with model number SM-J120F/DS .

The phone is also listed on Zauba database that confirms that this new variant will have a 4.5-inch display than the 4.3-inch display found in the original Galaxy J1. The price of the new phone is Rs. 6,686 (around $100) according to the zauba listing of Galaxy J1 model number SM-J120F. The 4.5-inch display size is also confirmed by the GFXBench listing of this Galaxy J1 variant.

The GFXbench listing confirms that the new Galaxy j1 will have a 4.5-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.3gHz Samsung Exynos 3475 (Cortex A7 – ARMv7) Soc and ARM Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage. It features a 5-megapixel rear LED flash camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The FCC documents of Galaxy J1 SM-J120F again doesn’t confirms any main features of the phone and there are no images of the device available too. It comes with Bluetooth 4.1 LE, 3G, 4G LTE etc connectivity options. So, Samsung is expected to announce its new Galaxy J series smartphone Galaxy J1 and Galaxy A series refreshed smartphone lineup soon as they have got FCC approval. Stay Tuned.
