LG may be working on a new device that can be a variant of the LG G4 or may be the upcoming flagship from the LG mobile called the LG G5. An LG device with model number LG-H815PX has just been certified by the FCC in the USA which may be official soon.
FCC documents suggests that the device with model number LG-H815PX will be similar to the LG-H815, which is LG G4, with no hardware changes and just the exception of WCDMA Band 4 with software unlock, all the application data for LG-H815PX is imported from LG-H815 application, that was submitted in April 2015. So, we can’t say if this device is LG G5 or not.
The FCC documents also lists the connectivity options such as Cellular, PCS GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, LTE, Bluetooth 4.1(LE), WLAN, NFC, WIFI Hotspot, FM Radio, GPS, NFC and Wireless charging cover. There are no images available from the device which can be similar to the LG G4. Apart from the above there are some LTE tests in the FCC documents, Nothing else.
Rumors says that LG will launch two variants of LG G5, one will be LG G5 and the second will be LG G5 Pro. Both are rumored to use the 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 820 SoC with a 5.6-inch True HD display. It will have a 20-megapixel rear camera and 10-megapixels front facing camera and 3GB or 4GB RAM. There will be 32GB, 64GB or 128GB storage variants with a large 4,000mAh battery.
If we talk about the launch date of LG G5, its expected to be launched in December with price below $1000. LG G5 Pro can have a higher price with upgraded features than the LG G5. The Snapdragon 820 SoC by Qualcomm is the newest processor by Qualcomm and if LG G5 uses it then it will be first one to use it. Samsung is also rumored to use this processor for Galaxy S7, but the launch of Galaxy S7 is expected to be in the 2016.
