Samsung Galaxy S8+ official support page goes live with model number SM-G955FD

Samsung is going to launch the new flagship devices Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus next month after the MWC and we have already saw the rumors and leaks about the devices in the previous posts. Now, @evleaks has shared the logo that is expected to be used as official logo for the Galaxy S8+ smartphone. Samsung India has also made the support page for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ live on the official Samsung India website that confirms the model number SM-G955FD that will be the dual SIM variant of the device.

If we check on the rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, these rumors claims that the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will feature a 6.2-inch Quad HD curved Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Octa Samsung Exynos 8895 (region based) processor. It will have 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage capacity with expandable storage with microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS out of the box.

It will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a f/1.7 aperture with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture. It will be backed up by a 3500mAh battery with fast charging and is expected to ship with 4G VoLTE, GPS / GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC connectivity options. it will feature the heart rate sensor on the rear panel along with the fingerprint sensor and barometer. The Galaxy S8 flagships will be IP68 certified that means these will be water and dust resistant out of the box.

If we check the rumored pricing details, the Galaxy S8 that will have a 5.8-inch display is expected to priced around $850 and the bigger Galaxy S8+ with a 6.2-inch display is expected to be priced around $956. Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Flagships on March 29th in New York and the sales of both device will start on April 21. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
