In an official event at CES 2017, ZTE launched its new device in the ZTE Blade series called ZTE Blade V8. The company launched the Blade V8 Pro few days back at CES 2017 along with the project CSX ZTE device Hawkeye. As the name says, the ZTE Blade V8 comes with downgraded specs from the ZTE Blade V8 Pro. The ZTE Blade V8 comes with mid-range specifications and will be available soon in Russia and Japan starting this February followed by Germany, Spain and China. The company however, hasn’t revealed any pricing details of the device.

The ZTE Blade V8 comes with a 5.2-inch full-HD LCD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) processor but ZTE Blade V8 Pro was powered by a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB (eMMC) of inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based ZTE’s Mifavor 4.2 skin out-of-the-box.

ZTE Blade V8 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash with a secondary 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera to create a bokeh effect and depth sensing  for high quality 3D images. It comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with flash as well. The ZTE Blade V8 packs a 2730mAh non removable battery and it comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, BT 4.1, MicroUSB, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS features. it also comes with a fingerprint scanner available on the physical home button on front panel. The pricing details for the device were kept private at the time of the launch of the device. It measures 148.4×71.5×7.7mm.

To recall the ZTE Blade V8 pro was launched with a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 and 401 PPI. It comes with a metal frame and is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage capacity and microSD card expandable storage upto 128 GB storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and comes with a hybrid SIM slot. It features a dual rear camera with 13-megapixel dual sensors with dual LED flash, auto mode, continuous shot, face detection, live photo, auto HDR, manual mode (includes interval capture), Panorama, Sports mode, Multi-exposure, Dual Camera Mode (Bokeh / MonoColor / MonoChrome mode / Ultra-HD mode) and PDAF  features.

It also comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 3140mAh non-removable battery with Quick-charge 2.0 support. Connectivity options available are 4G LTE Cat.4 with up to 150Mbps speed, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz & 5GHz, GPS/A-GPS/SUPL, USB 2.0 + Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and other features. It comes with Black Diamond color option and weights 185 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the front home button.
