HTC to announce something ‘For U” on January 12

HTC has just started sending the invites for its upcoming event for January 12th where the company is going to announce something special. The company’s invite on Twitter comes with the text ‘For U’ with the bigger ‘U’ letter that hints towards a new product with U letter and the launch event date January 12, 2017. The teaser however, doesn’t reveals anything else apart from this text and the launch event date. HTC’s latest smartphone announcements were made around a month back when the company launched the HTC Bolt and HTC 10 Evo smartphones.

As we already know that the CES 2017 event is scheduled for January 5th and will go through 8th of January, so its clear that HTC won’t we launching anything in the CES 2017 event. If you are thinking about the launch of the HTC 11 than it might be launched in this event but we can’t bet on it. The company is also rumored to be working on anew device called HTC one X10 that will be the successor to the HTC One X9 with upgraded features and other design related improvements as well.

As per the rumors the HTC One X10 is expected to launch with a full-HD display and will be powered by a Helio P10 processor along with Android 7 Nougat installed pre-installed. No other details about the device are currently available. The company is also expected to launch a new VR headset in the event but we have to wait for the leaks and rumors to have some more details on it.

The company is expected to launch the new flagship HTC 11 with features such as a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 835 that comes with Adreno 540 GPU. It is rumored to feature whopping 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage capacity. It is expected to feature a 12-megapixel rear dual camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. A 3700 mAh battery supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging feature is expected to be powring the device.
