ZUK Edge launched with Snapdragon 821, 6GB RAM and a 3100mAh battery

Lenovo’s ZUK today launched their third smartphone the ZUK Edge in an official event today in China. The ZUK Edge got the TENAA approval last month and was also appeared on number of benchmark websites and we also some leaked images form the device. The ZUK Edge is priced at 2299 yuan (around $330) for the 4GB RAM variant and 2499 yuan (around $360) for the 6GB RAM variant. The device is now available for pre-orders in China and will go for sale starting January 1st. No information available about its global debut.

The ZUK Edge comes with a U-Touch fingerprint sensor on the front panel hidden under the glass panel but still it can unlock the phone in just 0.09 seconds. It also comes with a heart rate sensor on the rear side and it features a 2.5D curved glass back. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1500: 1 contrast ratio, 85% NTSC color gamut, 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 86.4% screen-to-body ratio and 1.63mm narrow frame. It is powered by a 2.35 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU.

The ZUK Edge comes with 4GB and 6GB RAM variants having 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity and it runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based ZUI 2.5. It supports Dual SIMs and comes with a UV sensor and Altimeter. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, CAF, 1.34μm pixel size, Samsung ISOCELL sensor, f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture.

The ZUK Edge is powered by a 3100mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 feature and connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and the USB 3.1 Type-C as well. The device also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and Dirac HD Sound for Hi-Fi audio. It measures 142.9×74.5×7.68 mm and weights 160 grams. It is the first ZUK device to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based ZUI.
