Motorola Moto Z announced with 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 and 2600 mAh battery

Motorola has finally announced its new flagship device in the Moto Z series called the Motorola Moto Z that comes with full metal body and Moto mods customizations. The Moto Mods can be attached to the 12 magical-pins located at the bottom of the smartphone on the rear side and these Moto Mods includes a Moto Insta-Share Projector, JBL SoundBoost, Moto Shells and instant Power Pack. It is “water-repellant” and has an fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button.

The Motorola Moto Z comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass display and has 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The Moto Z comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage options that is further expandable up to 2TB with microSD slot. You can only buy it single-SIM as there is no Dual SIM options available.

It runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box. It features a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS, Laser Autofocus, 1.12um pixel, f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and Wide-Angle lens. It measures 153.3 × 75.3 × 5.19mm and weights 136g. The device comes with Moto Mods connector, Water repellent nano-coating, USB-C port for headphones, charging the device and for data services.

It also comes with front-ported loud speaker on the top and 4-Mics as well. It is powered by a 2600mAh battery with Turbo charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G LTE (Cat 9) / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz with MIMO and NFC. The company hasn’t announced the pricing details of the device but has confirmed that it will be available in September globally. In the US, it will be available on Verizon as Moto Z Droid.
