Vivo has launched the new Vivo V series smartphone Vivo V5 in India that comes with mid-range specifications. The Vivo V5 is priced at Rs. 17,980 (around $265) in India and pre-orders for the device will start from November 16th to 25th and sales will start November 26th. It comes with Crown Gold and Space Gray color options and features a metal unibody design. it also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front home button that unlocks the device in just 0.2 seconds and it also has AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for enhanced audio performance.

The Vivo V5 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor with Mali T860 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD card. It runs on the Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and supports Hybrid dual-SIM.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Moonlight Flash, Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens. It comes with a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, USB OTG and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weights 154g.
