Samsung SM-W2017 launched in China with Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM and a 2,300mAh battery

Samsung has finally launched their Android flip phone clamshell device Samsung SM-W2017 in China today after so many leaks and rumors. The device has recently cleared the Chinese TENAA revealing the specifications and images from the flip phone in brief and also got the FCC approval few days back. The company hasn’t announced the pricing details of the SM-W2017 but according to the rumors it will be very expensive and is expected to be priced more than 20,000 yuan in China which is around $3000.

The SM-W2017 comes with a 4.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display on both external and internal panels with 1080 × 1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor. it has 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity with up to 256GB MicroSD card expandable storage capacity slot. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box and supports dual-SIM.

It also comes with features such as an Always On Display available on Galaxy S7 Edge, wireless fast charging, a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and support for Samsung Pay as well. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and 4K video recording and also features a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It has a 2300mAh battery with about 64 hours of standby time on 4G network.

Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, ANT +, USB 2.0, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Micro USB, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac 2.4 + 5GHz, Bluetooth v4.1 and NFC. It measures 127.8 x 61.4 x 15.8 mm and weights 208 grams. It is not expected to release outside China as we saw that the other flip phones were also available only in China.
