TCL 598 with Dual-front and rear cameras passes TENAA, TCL 580 also approved by TENAA

These days we are seeing competition between different smartphone companies to provide dual-cameras on the rear sides. We have seen the dual-camera setup on many devices until now and the leasing smartphone maker Apple is also rumored to launch one with dual-cameras, but have you ever think of dual cameras on the front of any phone? Yes we are talking about front cameras here. Interestingly, TENAA today approved two new TCL smartphones with impressive specs and one of the device comes with dual-front cameras.

It will be the first smartphone in the world to have dual-front cameras. The device that has the dual-front camera is listed with the name TCL 598. Another device with name TCL 580 is also listed at TENAA, but let’s discuss first about the device that have attracted us with its dual front cameras.

The TCL 598 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS full-HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 2.3GHz deca-core Helio X20 processor and has 4GB of RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage and up to 128GB expandable MicroSD card storage slot. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It comes with dual-rear cameras of 13 + 13 megapixel and dual front cameras of 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel. It is backed up by a 3030mAh battery and comes with 4G lTE and WIFi connectivity options. It measures 152.6 × 75.4 × 8.7 mm and weights 157 grams. Color options includes Champagne gold and dark gray. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side.

The TCL 580 comes with a 5-inch AMOLED HD display with 1280 × 720 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor. It has 3GB of RAM 32GB inbuilt storage with up to 128GB of expandable MicroSD card storage. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.

It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It is backed up by a 2460mAh battery and connectivity options again includes 4G LTE, WiFi, GPS and other standard options. It measures 144.5 × 69.2 × 7.05 mm and weights 132 grams. It comes with Gold and silver color options. A fingerprint sensor might be available on the physical home button on the front.
