Sony today announced two new Xperia X series devices called Sony Xperia X Compact and Sony Xperia XZ. The Sony Xperia X Compact was previously spotted leaked in images but no specifications of the device were leaked. The pricing details of both the smartphones were not revealed by the company but has confirmed that both will be available globally from October. The Xperia XZ comes with Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum color options while the Sony Xperia X Compact comes with Mist Blue, Universe Black and White color options.

The Sony Xperia XZ comes with impressive flagship specifications like a 5.2-inch Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 820 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card. It comes with Dual SIM support and runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box.

It comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. It is backed up by a 2900 mAh Battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.

It measures 146 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weights 161 grams and comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. A fingerprint sensor is available on the power button and is IP65/IP68 certified which means it is water resistant.

It is powered by a hexa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 650 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS and supports single SIM.

It features a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilizatio, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3.06″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. It has a 2700 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and comes with 4G LTE, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 options.

It measures 129 x 65 x 9.5 mm and weights 135 grams. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor is available on the power button but doesn’t comes with IP65/IP68 certification.
