Gionee is all set to launch a new selfie focused smartphone in India on August 22nd and most probably the company will launch the new Gionee S6s smartphone that comes with top-end specifications. The company has starting sending the invites for its upcoming event in New Delhi on August 22nd and has confirmed that the new device will be launched with a front facing camera with LED flash. Gionee M6 and M6 Plus were recently launched without any selfie flash but the Gione S6s will be focused on the selfie lovers in India.

The Gione S6s will be the upgraded variant of the Gionee S6 launched in February in India. The Gionee S6S comes with a full metal body and has a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.3GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6753 Processor with Mali T-720 GPU. It will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB Internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) based Amigo 3.2 UI and supports Hybrid Dual SIM Slot.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, Sony IMX258 sensor and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. It will have a 3150mAh non-removable battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and measures 154.5 x 75.6 x 8.27mm.

The Gionee S6 was launched in India in February with 3GB of RAM and no selfie LED flash.
