After announcing the launch of the Huawei Honor 5X in UK, India and other markets, Huawei has now announced the official launch date of the device in US where it will be available starting from January 31st, that means from tomorrow onwards and the interested customers will be able to buy it via HiHonor US, Amazon.com and Newegg.com online stores in the US. The Honor 5X is already available for The device will be available for $199 USD in gold, silver and grey color options.

The Huawei Honor 5X was announced with a 5.5-inch HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and comes with diamond-polished aluminum alloy casing. Honor 5X is powered by a powerful 1.5 GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB inbuilt storage. It also offers up to 128GB microSD card expandable storage slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with EMUI 3.1 on top.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm wide-angle lens with a SmartImage 3.0 image processor and 1080p video recording capability. On front, a 5-megapixel camera with 22mm lens and f/2.4 aperture is also available. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side below camera module. It is backed up by a 3000 mAh battery. The device is also set to get the Android marshmallow update after its launch.

The Huawei Honor 5X also features the second-generation of fingerprint sensor that comes with fast 0.5-second unlocking time. The company is also expected to launch the Huawei Mate 8 in the US market soon after the launch of the Honor 5X. The Mate 8 was launched last year in November and comes with more upgraded features than the Honor 5X like a 6-inch full HD display with 2.5D glass, 95% wide color gamut and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

The Huawei Mate 8 is powered by a Octa-Core (2.3GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A53) Huawei Kirin 950 processor with Mali T880 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB internal storage expandable with microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Emotion UI 4.0. Other features includes 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF, OIS, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture, Fingerprint sensor, 4000mAh battery, 4G LTE, WiFi etc connectivity options and 157.1× 80.6×7.9mm measurement with weight 185g.
