Huawei G9 Plus launched with Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and 3340mAh battery

Huawei today launched a new smartphone in the Huawei G series dubbed Huawei G9 Plus that comes with mid-range specifications. It is priced at 2399 yuan (around $362) in China for 3GB RAM variant while the price of the 4GB RAM variant was announced. It is the successor to the Huawei G9 Lite smartphone. This smartphone was previously rumored to launch with camera but this device has a single camera lens on the rear side. It comes with aluminum build unibody design with rounded corners. The pre-orders for this device have been started on vMall in the home country and the device will be available for sale starting August 25th.

Huawei G9 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full-HD in-cell display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 2.5D and very thin bezels on each side. It is powered by a 14nm 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage options with up to 128GB MicroSD card slot expandable storage. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 skin on top.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with AF, OIS + PDAF, phase detection, 4K Video Recording, a suite of shooting modes and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with fixed focus. It comes with a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that the company claims to give 2.2 days of normal usage.

It comes with 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG, GPS and USB Type-C port connectivity options and a fingerprint scanner is also available below the rear camera. It measures 151.8×75.7×7.3mm and weighs 160 grams.

There is no details available of its global launch, so we have to wait for some months to have some information about its global availability and pricing details. Stay tuned.
