Google has recently launched the Android 7.0 Nougat OS which is the successor to the Android Marshmallow. The Nougat update is already hitting the Google Nexus devices all over the world and Sony has already announced its Android 7.0 Nougat roll-out plans recently which includes the latest Xperia X series devices and the Xperia Z series devices as well.

No, HTC has just confirmed that the flagship HTC 10 will receive the latest Android Nougat update in the Q4 of 2016 that means near November or December followed by the HTC One M9 and One A9 smartphones. The company announced this news via their Twitter post and confirmed the shipment of final version of Android 7.0 Nougat software from Google. The company hasn’t shared any details about the other HTC devices getting the Nougat update.

In May, the Taiwanese company has already declared that the Android N update will be available for HTC 10, HTC One A9 and HTC One M9 and now they have confirmed the rollout date for this update. The company Tweeted,” We expect the update to begin rolling out to the unlocked HTC 10 in Q4, followed by the unlocked HTC One M9, unlocked HTC One A9 and carrier versions of these devices as well.”

The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes with number of new features like 72 new emoji, custom Quick Settings, replay from notifications, bundled notifications, Multi-window functionality, Notification enhancements, dedicated VR mode, Doze improvements, Data Saver, Background optimizations, a way to quickly switch to the previous app (by double-tapping the multitasking button), Direct boot, partial support for more than 100 new languages and much more.
