Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2 Tablet In China

Xiaomi was teasing the two new devices from last couple of days via their Weibo account and in an event today, Xiaomi has finally launched the two expected devices Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2 tablet in China. Both comes with top-end specifications and the Redmi Note 3 will be available for RMB 899 ($140) for the 16GB model and RMB 1099 ($172) for the 32GB model in silver, gold, and gray colors. Mi Pad 2 is priced at RMB 999 ($156) for the 16GB model and RMB 1299 ($203) for the 64GB model and will be available in dark gray and champagne gold colors.

The Redmi Note 3 comes with 1080P 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor with 2 variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and other with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus features. It supports 4G dual SIM, Wi-Fi, and runs on MIUI 7 OS. It has a large 4000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor on the rear side of the phone.

Mi Pad 2 comes with all metal body and has a large 7.9-inch display with 2048×1536 pixel resolution. it is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor with 2GB of RAM. The tablet also supports the new USB Type-C connector. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixels front facing camera. The tablet comes with a large 6190mAh battery. Xiaomi claims that it is the ultra-thin and light tablet with 6.95 mm width and 322gms weight. It runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 operating system based on Android.

Both the devices are available in China currently and no details have been shared by the company about its availability outside China. Xiaomi may hold events in different countries to launch these two devices. Xiaomi hasn’t announced the MI 5 flagship in this event but we can expect its launch next month in December with top-end specs like the recently launched Snapdragon 820 SoC.
