LG G5 and Galaxy S7 Edge spotted on GeekBench, reveals specs

The upcoming flagship from LG called the LG G5 is going to be launched on February 21st in Barcelona in the MWC 2016 event where some of the major smartphone companies are going to launch their new devices. Recently, Samsung, Sony and other major companies have announced their plans for the MWC 2016 event. Samsung has announced that their latest flagships in the Galaxy S series will be announced in the MWC 2016 in its 21st February event. The LG’s latest flagship has just spotted listed on the GeekBench browser’s bench-marking database revealing the specifications of the device.

The LG G5 Geekbench listing show that it comes with better performance than the Galaxy S7 performance with the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset. Galaxy S7 Edge was already benchmarked in the GeekBench database which doesn’t have impressive results as compared to the LG G5 test results. The LG G5 has scored 2248 points in single-core test and 5061 points in its multi-core test whereas, the Galaxy S7 Edge has scored 1363 points in the single-core test and 4951 points in the multi-core test which doesn’t looks to be of a smartphone with Snapdragon 820 SoC.

The LG G5 Geekbench listing gives us the model number of the device to be LG-F700S and details of the device like it will run on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. It will be powered by 1.59 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4GB of RAM. There were no other details available in the GeekBench listing. In comparison, the Galaxy S7 Edge Geekbench listing comes with SM-G935F model number and specs like 4GB of RAM with the Android 6.0.1 OS pre-installed. It is powered by the Exynos 8890 according to the Geekbench listing but some will have the Snapdragon 820.

As per the rumors, the LG G5 will have metal body and an IR blaster. Featuring a 5.3-inch display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution, it will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will have 3GB of RAM with 32GB of inbuilt storage. It will also have microSD-support and USB Type-C slot with the Dual camera setup on rear side having 16MP and 8MP cameras with smile, face and multi-gesture detection. There will be a 8-megapixel sensor on its front. Connectivity options will be 4G, NFC, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 and will have a large 4000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature.

The Galaxy S7 Edge features includes a 5.1-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and it will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with Adreno 530 GPU or Exynos 8890 processors with 4GB RAM. 64GB of inbuilt storage will be available with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The Galaxy S7, on the other hand, will have a 5.1-inch display and will be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC / the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor. It will have 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera and a 3000mAh battery.
