YU Yutopia To Launch next Month In India

After the successful launch of YU Yunique smartphone, Micromax’s subsidiary, YU is planning to launch another smartphone called YU Yutopia with high end specifications. Micromax is calling it as the “world’s most powerful smartphone”.

YU Yutopia codenamed ‘Project Achilles’ is already in works and will be launched near Diwali. The announcement is expected to come next month. YU Yutopia is expected to be the YU 5050, which was leaked via Benchmark results earlier this month along with Yu4711. YU5050 handsets were also spotted imported to India from China.

The benchmark listing reveals that the YU5050 will have a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 1.5GHz octa-core CPU with the Adreno 430 GPU. It will have a 4GB of RAM and will run on Cyanogen 12.1. This phone has fast charging and 4G LTE connectivity features.

YU5050 was spotted with price Rs. 20,752 on Zauba listing. We can expect the same price for YU Yutopia when it will be launched. Micromax Founder, Rahul Sharma also teases the smartphone which reads as,” After the minion monster can’t wait to present the Beast. Let the countdown begin.”

Micromax have already launch YU YUNIQUE smartphone in India for Rs.4,999 via Snapdeal. It comes with a 4.7-inch IPS Fully Laminated display having 1280 x 720 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. Dual SIM Yu Yunique runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and feature 1GB of RAM with 8GB internal memory and expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot. It features an 8MP rear LED Flash camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 2000mAh battery and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 4G LTE, 3G etc. YU Yunique will be available in Black color variant. It will be available with Serene White and Moonstone Grey colors back covers for Rs. 5,499.
