LG could come with new Edge series of smartphones soon with one phablet rumored to be LG G Edge. According to new reports, LG has registered 8 new trademarks for its upcoming smartphones namely Super Edge, Dual Edge, Upper Edge, Dual Side Edge, Side Edge, Double Edge, Two Edge and G Edge.

What can we expect now? Is LG trying to copy the edge name from Samsung to compete with Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge and Edge Plus? The newly registered trademarks also indicates that LG could be working on a dual-edge variant with names Dual Edge, Dual Side Edge, Double Edge and Two Edge which is similar to Galaxy S6 Edge.

Phandroid also posted the trademark registered with G Edge name by LG Electronics. Further, LG recently registered the trademark name Meerkat suggesting that LG may have acquired video streaming servies Meerkat which was denied by the Meerkat company CEO in a tweet.

Is it the phone that concept phones posted nearly a year ago? If yes, then we may see a new smartphone soon from LG with Edge name or a series of 8 new Edge smartphones.
