Mo Versi, VP product management HTC has confirmed that the Android 5.1 update will begin rolling starting today on AT&T’s HTC One M9. Mo Versi wrote,”HTC One (M9) AT&T Owners! We have received technical approval on Lollipop OS 5.1 which includes camera improvements. OTA to start on 7/15!!”

The new update will bring data performance and call drop enhancements for One M9. This update also brings updates for the rear camera of HTC One M9. The 20MP camera on One M9 got negative feedback from the users but the 4MP Ultrapixel front camera got good feedback.
To get this update, keep your battery charged upto 50% and connect to a WiFi network to download and install the update. If you haven’t received the notification for the update, wait for the popup notification or go to settings>>about and manually check for an update.
Versi also confirmed that the T-Mobile HTC One M9 will also get this update on 20 July. let’s see if it gets true.
