JohnMotorola have started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop Update on Moto G devices in India. This update is available for 1st gen Moto G, Moto G (XT1033), and Moto G Gen 1 in India. Motorola have also confirmed this news and posted the changelog on their website for Moto G.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update comes with build number 220.21.16.en.03. A user on XDA forum have also posted that he has received the notification of this update on his phone that is showing the build number of the update.
The new Lollipop update brings new features and new look for Android and Moto G. Notifications UI has been changed, New Interruptions & Downtime Settings has arrived, Flashlight, recent apps etc are added features in this update. Full features are already listed by Motorola on changelog page.
If you have not received the update:
- Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
- Select “About phone”.
- Select “System updates”.
- Select “Yes, I’m in”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
- After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
- Your phone is now updated to 22.21.16
