Meizu M5S expected at the company’s February 15 event with 4GB RAM and a 2930mAh battery

Chinese Meizu is all set to launch its new flagship this February and has started sending the official invites for its event on February 15th in China at Beijing Performing Arts Center at 3:00 PM. The company is expected to launch Meizu M5S smartphone in the official event that will be the successor to the Meizu M3S smartphone. The new teaser invite confirms the fast charging feature and a full metal unibody design for the device. The Meizu M5S is expected to be priced around 999 yuan (around $145) and color options expected are Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold.

The Meizu M5S is expected to launch with a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali-T760 GPU. It will have multiple variants with base variant having 2GB LPDDR3 RAM along with 16GB inbuilt storage, other options includes 3GB LPDDR3 RAM + 32GB storage variant and a 4GB LPDDR3 RAM having 64GB internal storage variant with all having expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card slot.

The Meizu M5S is expected to run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Flyme OS 6.0 on top and will support Dual SIMs. It will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It will be powered by a 2930mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options expected are 4G VoLTE, GPS / GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.0. It will measure 148.2×72.53×8.4mm and weights 138 grams.
