Vivo launches Vivo X9 and X9 Plus with dual front cameras and 4GB/6GB RAM

Vivo today not only announced the Vivo XPlay6 but also launched the flagship devices in the Vivo X series and the successors to the Vivo X7 and X7 Plus known as Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus. The Vivo X9 is priced at 2798 yuan (around $407) for the 64GB inbuilt storage option and 2998 yuan for the 128GB inbuilt storage option.

Pre-orders for the Vivo X9 starts in China from today while the company has said that the pricing and availability details of the Vivo X9 Plus will be unveiled on December 26th. Both comes with Gold and Rose Gold color options. Both the devices comes with full metal unibody design and the main highlight of both the devices is the front facing dual-rear cameras. Both comes with fingerprint scanners on the front home button.

The Vivo X9 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB / 128GB internal storage capacity. It runs on Android 6.0 (marshmallow) based Funtouch OS 3.0 and supports dual-SIM. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF.

It features a dual front camera setup with 20-megapixel sensor with Sony IMX376 lens and f/2.0 aperture with a secondary 8-megapixel lens. It is backed up by a 3050mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack with AKM4376 DAC audio chip. It measures 152.6x74x6.99mm and weights 154 grams.

The Vivo X9 Plus comes with a 5.88-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and is powered by a octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage option. It runs on the Android 6.0 (marshmallow) based Funtouch OS 3.0 and supports dual-SIM.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and features a dual rear camera setup again but with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor having f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixelsensor. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack with ES9018 + ES9603 DAC.
