Finally, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy C series device Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro in China today in an official event. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is priced at 3199 Yuan (around $474) and is up for pre-orders in China. The sale will start on November 11th in China.
It comes with Gold and Rose Gold color options. The Galaxy C9 Pro is the Samsung’s first phone to feature 6GB of RAM and first phone to run on the SD653 SoC. The Galaxy C9 Pro also got leaked just before its launch in leaked renders and official press images.
The Galaxy C9 Pro comes with model number SM-C9000YS and is listed on official Samsung China online store. It comes with an aluminum design and features a 6-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.It is powered by the 1.95GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.4 GHz A53) processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity that is further expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card slot.
It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the with TouchWiz UI and supports Dual-SIMs. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and f/1.9 aperture and a 16-megapixel front camera with f/1.9 aperture. It is backed up by a 4,000mAh battery with the support of Quick Charge fast charging as well. The physical home button on the front of the device comes with a fingerprint scanner and it measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm and weighs just 189 grams.
Connectivity options includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, ANT +, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS and a USB Type-C port. The global availability and pricing details are not yet disclosed by the company and we can also expect that just like the other Galaxy C series devices, the Galaxy C9 Pro will also be available in China only.
