Moto G4 Play arrives in India with 2GB RAM, Snapdragon 410 and 2800mAh battery

Motorola today announced the Moto G series 4th generation smartphone Moto G4 Play for the Indian market where it will be available exclusively on the Amazon India website for Rs. 8999 (around $135) from 10 PM IST. This one is another budgeted smartphone from the Lenovo owned company. Motorola has already launched the two other Moto G series phones in India called Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus which are also exclusively available on Amazon India.

The Moto G4 Play comes with handy specifications in the mid-range category with a Snapdragon processor and good amount of RAM. It also comes with a bigger battery for this category of phone having a 5-inch display suitable for longer battery backup. However, this device doesn’t comes with the square shape fingerprint scanner that was available with the Moto G4 Plus on the front panel.

The Moto G4 Play comes with a 5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2 GHz 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU and has 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM just like the other Moto phones.

It features a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a good 2800mAh battery with quick charge feature and comes with the 10W rapid charger that promises 5 hours usage with just 15 minutes of charge. Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio are available. It measures 144.4x72x8.95 mm and weights 137 grams.
