Launched on June this year, HTC Desire U have become all time favorite smartphone. This smartphone have all the features that are needed in an ideal smartphone. The price is also budgeted which is only Rs. 13, 500.

I got an email yesterday from a user Ankit. He wanted to know that when will HTC Desire U is going to recieve the Kitkat update? That’s a strange question as HTC Desire U is not even coming in any headlines. Most of the HTC phones like HTC One are going to recieve the Kitkat update soon but no dates and no news is currently available for the update of HTC Desire U smartphone.

In the above image you can see that current Android version of HTC Desire U is Android 4.0.3 and sense version is 4.0. Both are looking outdated as new software updates are already released like Android 4.4 Kitkat and HTC Sense 5.5.

HTC Desire U has a single core 1 GHz processor and runs on 4.0.3 Android version. It has HTC Sense version 4.0. A 5MP camera is available with LED Flash. It also has beats audio support. It has 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

So it will be interesting see when Desire U will receive the new software updates.

  • It will run slow if you install a no. of games and other apps. Try uninstalling them and then use this device.
